Remember me and the life changing horror of work that was about to break into my very pleasant retirement? I signed a contract for 17 weeks out of my life for a paltry sum equal to what my husband makes in a year?
So, today was the first day.
(Did you notice I was a coposting machine over the weekend to get everything under control for my new 'work all day, e-mail only morning and night' routine?)
So I get there at 10.30am (Why are we having a meeting so late, anyway. Doesn't anybody start work at 8am any more?) and there's been a hold up on getting the content supplied. So we had a nice meeting, they gave me some background reading. (Actually they're going to drop it off later today.) And that was it. We'll meet again on Thursday.
I sufferred first-day nerves over THAT? :violent1:
If the entire 17 weeks is like that, you'll make a tidy amount as well as still having time to do what you really want to do.
I need to find a job like that.
