It's Mother's Day! so to all the Mother's out there in Triad Land, we love you all, and enjoy the day!

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother's_Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother's_Day) (I think the apostrophe is stopping it from going into a URL with BBCode....)  for more info as to why we do it this way in the UK.  by the sound of it, we've only picked up an old Roman holiday, whereas the US is picking on something more recent.

According to that chart, just about any week holds Mother's Day somewhere!

I rather like the original idea of a Mother's Day for Peace.
I wonder if we could start lobbying for one now?
Anyone want to make up some icons for it? If so, I'll start on a website.

Totally nearly had a heart attack thinking I had forgotten Mother's Day!!! It would have been especially bad because I actually talked on the phone with my mom today...

Me too.  I was all, "Oh crap it was mother's day and I didn't get her anything and the day's over and all the stores are closed..."  It just had my heart beating on my tongue is what it did.  Happy Mother's day to all those in the Commonwealth.
