Title: OH EM GEE ! ! !
Post by: Kaysea on March 07, 2007, 05:16:42 AM
Ok, I don't know whether to be happy or to feel really old and decrepit right now.

A friend just made the comment in her LJ that by the time her youngest child leaves school (if she completes all Primary and Secondary levels) then my friend will have seen her kids through 21 years of school.

I just ran this calculation through my head...

I'm in my 14th year of having kids at school (Mel started in 1993) and Cailee hasn't even started yet and won't until 2010.  The year she starts Bobbie will be in Year 12 doing his VCE and Cailee will be in Preps and looking at 13 years of schooling ahead of her...

                                   O M G ! ! !

That's almost 30 years of schooling!
 And I didn't even contemplate kindergarten or Tertiary level . . .

Do I earn the Ancient and Decrepit tag???

Grandpa you may be, but even when in the hospital with Cailee, the photographer looked at Mel and said, Mrs C?  See, I'm old enough to be a nana....

In fact I was mean enough to make my mum a nan in her 43rd year....

*so cruel on reflection*

No grandchildren here, none on the horizon. I guess that makes me one of the young ones.  :colors:

After the funeral on Saturday, family members were making comments on those who had attended, and my aunt remarked about how old one the cousins looked. I pointed out that he was only 2 years older than me -- everyone in the room turned and looked at me, stared for a mnute, then shook their heads. My aunt then remarked that he looked even older than she had thought, b/c it certainly didn't seem that only 2 years separated us.

Actually, it was Cotton Candy Pink when she was in NYC last September -- which didn't clash as much as you might think with the Goth makeup and clothing she was wearing.

Where's the photo's????

For goodness sake, you had her in your sights and NO PHOTOS!!

This just isn't fair.  I have known her longer than anyone else here - apart from Jane - and I still haven't seen a photo.

Well I think I did years ago, but...she denied it was her standing next to her new car....

 :binky:

*goes off to pout in the corner*

His only photo is of me, frowning at Donna as she finished a popsicle, since we didn't want her eating to get us thrown out of St. Patrick's Cathedral. She'd already gotten us thrown out of the NY Public Library b/c she wouldn't give up her coffee.

Karen, check your private messages folder here on the forums. I sent you a link to the photo. I'd post it here, but I suspect that if I did, Vix would hunt me down like a dragon who hasn't eaten in a month of restdays!  :flucht:
