Title: Promoted
Post by: PastMember on February 19, 2007, 07:58:33 PM
I got promoted today! More responsibility, smaller desk (though I get a window now) same pay. However, there's more job security!

Congratulations to both of you.

I'm going for a job interview on Thursday ... of course, I don't want a job and my passive-resistance, bloody-awful CV failed to get me eliminated from the short list.

LOL  It is international good luck at the work place day.

I was just officially offered my position for a fourth year today, provided I pass a basic level Japanese proficiency test in April!  But hey, I passed the Japanese interview at least!

I knew this topic was still around somewhere.  I got the job.  (Bear with me while I find a crying smilie.)

 :crybaby:

I have the end date of the contract marked on my calendar.  Only 17 weeks until I get my life back!

I'm sorry?  I guess if you didn't want the job its a bad thing, but I would take just about any job now.  (Except working in Hannafords.  No Grocery stores for me!)

Ok so now I'm confused.  Is the job being that you're retired or that you're retired after the job?

I retired a few years ago and have been enjoying sitting around the house doing less than nothing and spending the money my husband earns.

Then somebody asked me if I was interested in a 17 week conteact to do a tech writing job for them.  I said I wasn't very interested at all but they could come back to me if they couldn't find anybody else.

Apparently they couldn't find anybody else and now my very enjoyable retirement is on hold for 17 weeks.

Grr!

Well, I suppose I will.  You know, like normal people.  Emails morning and night and not fifteen times during the day.

Darn!

I'm a "normal" person (or at least I go to school) and I get posts in at all times of the day.

Si!  When I have a moment I run down to the computer lab or borrow my friends laptop and reply.
