Ok two questions
:?: 1.In regards to dolphins and dolphineers, do they speak? (the dolphins I mean) I'm aware they do in the novels (dolphins of Pern) but was wondering the rules and or regs on speaking dolphins with in posts or co-posts at Triad.
:?: 2.What are the rules about jumping /between/ times?
1.) Yes they do.
2.) Don't do it. Period.
(Slightly exaggerating here, but generally, it's rarely known and almost never used, except for extreme crises.)
Also, in regards to jumping /between/ times: in our timeline, only goldriders, bronzeriders and a few key ranking weyr staff even know that it is possible. It has been done on rare occasions on purpose, but the non-ranking browns, blues and greens can only do it by mistake.
Any plotline with ANYONE going /between/ times has to be approved by the Council, and it has to be well thought out and deal with all the consequences. ;)

I must say I love it how people assume that I have a storyline about jumping /between/ times, or makes it sound like i would have one *lol* sadly I don't, maybe I'll have to come up with something :twisted: poor Az'uka *evil laugh*
In regards to #1, The dolphins speak simple sentences. This does _not_ mean they are stupid. For example, when giving a weather report a dolphin would say; "Bad, long bad bad storm coming." not "There is a hurricane approaching. There will be two days of gale force winds and rough seas, take cover and don't let the fishing fleet out." Part of being a dolphineer is learning what the dolphins mean when they talk. Everyone at the DH does a pretty good job with writing the dolphins so you might want to check out some of the previous posts there for ideas. :D
Ah hence the basis of my Question 1 I have a dolphineer charcter (Jenasie), I've just never used her...yet.
