Ok, so I'm beginning my fourth month of mentoring now and I'm beginning to learn the system which means by merely stating how long I've been on means I will be o mentorship longer and anyways, I have some issues with getting my posts approved.
Before I went on vacation, I believe the 18th, I sent four coposts to my mentor for approval, assuming that would be plenty of time to approve them when I got back on the 27th. When I did get back, I still hadn't gotten any approved and it was nearly the end of the month and I didn't want to send in any late because late posts = more mentorship. I send an email to my mentor to ask her about the posts which bothering mentor = longer mentorship and she immediately responded and approved three of the four and I was able to send them out. The following day I had two more that needed approval. After sending the first to her, she responded immediately that she was on LIA/LOA so I would have to send both to the mentor list which I did on March 28th and I assumed there would be a fast response seeing as all the mentors I assume are part of that list and I would still be able to send it to the list in time.
It's April 2nd which means one of my posts are now going to be late and I'm going to get a warning from my mentor and I have absolutely no idea about the two posts I sent. One of them was a copost with another person on mentorship and she had already had her part approved by her mentor and is waiting on me.
For whomever responds, whatever you do, do not respond with the "We all have lives" response because I have had extremely limited internet access myself for the past month, getting online either only on the weekends or every three days or so. I'm sorry, I don't think I was asking for too much.
Posts that go outside of cannon take longer to deal with because they have to be discussed by the mentors and the council, then a reply has to be made. If you have an issue with this, you would probably be better bringing them up with us privately, no matter how satisfying posting a public rant might be.
I would like to add that NO MEMBER is punished for sending a post to the list "late" because a mentor is LIA/LOA or if because they have had to make multiple corrections to a post. I think we can figure out that is no one's fault, not even the mentors.
Also, I would like to remind eveyrone (since there have been some other people with questions is seems) that a person's period of mentorship is NOT a fixed amount of time. The MINIMUM is one month. There are two other conditions: first, that they should have THREE CONSECUTIVE UNCORRECTED POSTS, and second that their MENTOR'S APPROVAL that they are ready to be released from mentorship. You can read it here in the FAQ section of the Triad Website: Guide for Mentees (http://www.triadweyrs.org/faq.php?fq_id=499). This means that not everyone will be released after just one month. Triad is a online roll play GAME, and like any game, we have rules and we play within certain boundaries. The mentors are here to help you learn what those rules and where those boundaries are. A person will be on mentorship until we are sure that they understand the strict rules and cannon under which Triad opperates.
