Title: Lower caverns staff
Post by: PastMember on October 30, 2003, 03:40:05 PM
Sleep where? I know the dragonriders and some crafters live higher up on the cliff faces, but what about those who work in the lower caverns? One of my my sonas wants to go find his mother for a long over do chat. When she isn't working.

Which Weyr?

DFW for example is set up this way:

Dragonsfall Weyr was designed using rock-cutting tools created from plans left behind in AIVAS’ files. The original Weyrhold was a masterpiece of design and took over ten turns to complete. There are three levels of the cliff that house the dragonriders and the weyrfolk.

Those weyrfolk that aren't dragonriders whould obviously need the lower floors to live on. Highest level is for ranking riders.  However, each Weyr is set up differently.

Since it's in an old volcano, then, it would be set up so that  higher level elevations are reserved for riders.  Lower caverns workers would be in the well, lower caverns.  Only the weyrling and candidates barracks are seperate housing.

For more information on the general setup of the Weyr, go to: http://www.triadweyrs.org/places/locdcw.php#building (http://www.triadweyrs.org/places/locdcw.php#building)
