Hi Triad members!
When we asked for feedback recently, one of the important topics that came up when we proposed updating the posting requirements was that we have a lot of members who haven't been active in a long while on the website. It's hard to know who's around to post with, and if they have characters holding ranking positions, it leaves less options for newer members who are more active to pick those up.
We do want to be sensitive to the fact that people sometimes have to take time off to deal with issues in their real lives, and are always hopeful that they will return when they're ready! It has also been difficult even for active players to keep up with requirements recently - as the club has been quiet, it's harder to complete posts. But we do also want to make sure that the website is accurate and that where ranking characters are no longer active, we free up those positions for others.
To address this, we're going to go through a process of working out which members and characters are still active.
First of all, we are going to hold a club Roll Call!
What we need everyone to do is to fill out a very short form to confirm their status as a club member:

We'll also send this to the mailing list to make sure everyone is aware. The form will be open throughout February to ensure there's plenty of time to respond.
At the same time, we will compare the list of email addresses subscribed to the mailing list on Google Groups to those of members on the website and set anyone who isn't subscribed to the mailing list to be inactive (as all members and lurkers should be subscribed). If you are not sure if you are or think you might be using a different email address, you can check the group at https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/triadweyrs (https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/triadweyrs) - and contact the Council (thecouncil@triadweyrs.org) if you have any concerns.
Once these tasks are both complete, we will make sure that any ranking positions where the writer is now a lurker or inactive are opened up. We will also be reaching out to members with ranking characters who haven't posted in the last 6 months and asking them if they want to keep the character and need some time to get back into posting.

We have updated the members list so that those who replied are on the active members list, so it should now be easier to see who's available to post and what positions are open.
The status of those who didn't reply has been updated to lurker or inactive (depending on previous status and whether they are currently subscribed to the mailing list).
If this has happened to you, and you missed the roll call by accident, or think you did reply and have been accidentally missed - don't panic! Nothing has been deleted from the website. If you send an email to the council (thecouncil@triadweyrs.org) we can restore you to active status. :)
