Hi everyone,
We're planning to do an update to the Triad Weyrs website this weekend. I will try to do it in the morning UK time (BST) so fewer people are likely to be using it, but if you see any issues, that may be why. :)
The forum should not be affected.
I will post again when it's done!
The website update is now complete!
If you spot any issues, drop us an email at webbies@triadweyrs.org, or report them in the Bug Reporting forum.
We've done a second website update today - this time, it's some changes to the member profile form.
New values have been added:
- Pronouns - tell us how you'd like us to refer to you (login required)
- Chat and Social Media: Google Hangouts, Facebook and Twitter (login required). These replace the old chat options of AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo and ICQ. Other suggestions are welcome, let us know what you use (or if you'd like one of the old ones back).
- New to tell us about what you enjoy: Favourite Books and Characters
- Select a Site Theme which changes the colour scheme of the website. At the moment we have red, green and blue...
Hope you enjoy them! And if there's something else you'd like to see on the member profile, suggestions are welcome!
Here is a link to a map on Inkarnate which is a work in progress for Triad's world.
There are several symbols on this map.
Open Triangles are the markers for our currently in play Weyrs.
Black Crosses are for Closed Former RP locations
Open Crosses are for Cannon Weyrs
Just getting the continents and all the islands outlined took a couple of days. Now all the landscaping and cities need to be placed. I'm pretty much done with the Amber Hills area if you want to go in close there.
A new Feature of Inkarnate Pro will allow me to carve out parts of the map as "regions" I'll do each of those for our in play Weyrs once I've completed this one.
Anyway, just wanted everyone to see my progress. And the beauty of it is each time I save, your view below also updates.

https://inkarnate.com/m/480peM--dfw-region/
https://inkarnate.com/m/a98882--barrier-lake-region/
How cool! We'll have to find a way to link to those from the website.
They're looking awesome, Suzee!
I'm so glad you introduced me to Inkarnate, I can spend hours on there, just creating random things :glasses
The website has now been updated to use PHP 7.4! :)
Although hopefully you shouldn't see any major differences, we had to make a large number of code changes to support the upgrade from PHP 5.6 to 7.4, which may have introduced bugs. If you find anything not working, please email webbies@triadweyrs.org, or report the problem in the Bug Reporting forum.
Thank you Estelle. Some of the Galleries appear to have broken links.
