Hello everyone!
I'm Akias, and it's been almost a decade since I last let my muse out of it's box in a meaningful fictional way. So I figured what better way to get back into a writing habit than to rejoin one of my favorite fandoms.
So here I am! I have lots of reading to do to get up to speed on Triads People, Places, and (fun) Problems. After that, I'll probably be tempted to create a character. Maybe two. Certainly no more than that. Things I like writing and know enough to get into trouble over include stuff about folkmusic, seafaring, getting lost in the woods, and falling in love the hard way.
No idea about what type of persona(s) I want to make yet. That'll come as I read up on the community. Looking forward to talking with and hopefully writing with you all!

I too thought I would create one or maybe two personas. Now I have eight :)

Am I reading correctly that we have early 1800s style steamboats on the river? My initial itch is trending to spin up a youngish member of a riverboat clan, 18-19 or so, and maybe happen across a Search Rider to get involved in Weyrlife and all the fun transitional life adjustment writing that Candidacy would impose.
Does the river leading to Emerald Falls have a name?

Bilpen - Project Manager/Master Woodsmith as the place is being built out.
Jazine - Headwoman
Timassa - Greenrider
N'call - Bronzerider and supporter of Teseada as the new Weyrwoman.
Bilpen and Jazine are likely more logical for deliveries to the new Weyrhold.

I'd love to get a co-post going with someone. Maybe a delivery of wire and associated parts for technicians doing the install? Or an tithe/supply run for the new Weyrhold where the manifest/cargo has been messed up somehow?

Nice to meet you Paula. Avery's stolen my rivergoers for Barrier Lake and the assorted environs therein. If you ever need the services of a riverboat for a plot, or antics of a young guy glad to have a drink off the boat, holler my way as well!

I'm sure there will be a second persona before too long somewhere in the world. And I'd love to have a rider run into Kasson in some way. I don't figure he's really had a super up close experience with a dragon yet, so that could be fun.
