So people have been posting pictures on the internet of either the British section or the American section of their local supermarket, because they can. I took these in two local supermarkets (Morrisons & Tesco), and I guess they would give you a warped version of American food, because they look like they'd send you straight to the dentist needing fillings!

Our grocery stores here in my local area of North Carolina don't include British things in the "international section" of the grocery store. Mostly the only things we have in our "international section" (I'm using the term VERY loosely, haha!) is Mexican brands with a small smattering of Chinese and Japanese things tossed in.

I think there's a British section of one of the supermarkets I go to, but honestly the only thing I care about is the marmite... which is usually in baking with the yeast! We get a pretty awesome selection of asian foods, pretty terrible Indian selections, and the Mexican section is usually all Old El Paso.
Well the world foods aisle (depending on the supermarket) around here is usually American, Irish, Polish/Eastern European, Kosher (mix of UK/US/European brands), Asian (Indian/Korean/Japanese) and Afro-Caribbean in varying amounts. It depends on the supermarket and the area it serves - I live close to one of the most ethnically diverse areas of the country - there's one road leading out from Manchester city centre to Bury (where I live) which has everything from Halal butchers, to Indian groceries, Polish bakers, African beauty salons, Pakistani cakes/desserts etc, but there's still room for a McDonalds, the Jewish Museum, a Mosque or two, churches, a Synagogue. Oh, and a really good hand car wash that I need to visit because some crazy bird did it's worst on my car last night!
