We're going camping this weekend for my husband's 50th birthday. And it's going to rain ... ALL ... weekend :eyepop
May have to sneak in some posting to keep us from killing each other :bat
Apologies in advance if I'm slow.
Gotta love rain. It shows up at the most convenient times.
lol, try not to drown, okay?
LOL - funny enough, I cancelled my camping trip this weekend because of rain! I hope you stay warm & dry - and I strongly encourage you to pack a hot water bottle!
I was lucky enough to have a furnace in our camper so although it was cold outside, we were comfortable inside. Unfortunately, I need to buy new shoes as mine were sucked into the mud ... ugh!
Hubby enjoyed the time away even with the weather so that's the most important thing.
I'll be catching up and posting this afternoon.
Glad to hear you had a good time!!
A similar thing happens to us a few years ago. We went to the Loire Valley in France, expecting nice weather (as it was mid France in July!). We had the three of us in a tiny tent, plus some nice bottles of wine (being that this was the Loire Valley, after all). First two nights...perfect. Third night? Well...it began poring rain before we could get the bbq going, so dinner was some cookies. Next night? Yep, more rain. And then more rain. And being there were three of us in the tent, everything got soaked including pillows, sleeping bags, everything (but the wine). Then we moved camping sights to Chinon (Joan of Arc history, yay!! and more wine) and my son and I refused to go back into the tent so my husband had to rent one of the big permanent tents on the grounds.
Needless to say, when we got home my husband bought a huge tunnel tent for our travels (and wine collecting) trips. It's amazing what a difference it's made. :P
