Hi all!
My name is Theresa (no matter what my email name says. <G>) I'm a raw newbie here at Triad Weyrs, but I've been playing in Pern online games for... well... probably about twenty years now. So yeah, if you're doing the math, I'm probably old enough to be your Mom. Or Grandma. Please don't hold that against me? ;-)
I live in SW Florida, USA. I'm the mother of one adult kid, I'm helping out my parents, and I've written two novels; one self-published, and the other in the 'searching for an agent' process of traditional publication. By training, I'm a medical coder (looking for work, long story. Caveat Emptor on that career, is all I'm sayin' here, folks) and also a trained fine artist (Ya want fries with that, hon?)
So, yeah, I entertain myself with my Figments a lot, and many of them have lived on Pern. I've never played in a strict-canon, time-controlled game like Triads Weyr before, so the possibilities, the learning curve, and the mentor-ship requirements all have me excited about the fandom again.
I've been granted an adoptable, E'ron, rider of blue Feykenth, of DCW. I look forward to meeting all of you, and your characters. I'll do my best to learn quickly, goof up as little as possible, and provide fun people for your characters to interact with.

My Pierka and E'ron have a bit of history. Unfortunately, his former writer had to leave the club so it was never finished and Pierka is now much older and Weyrmated. But we could work something out about what might have happened if you like.
Or just send a start and he can come to visit her now. She just had a new baby boy.

Heh, 'a bit of history' sounds like an understatement, just glancing at their last few posts. I'm sorry you lost his original writer. I know from experience how much you can miss both a fellow writer and their characters, when life comes between you.
I have no issues with picking up E'ron's prior history, but I feel that's a decision that should be left up to you. I know it's not likely my E'ron will be much like Mirren's vision for him, even if I pick up the original story line-- just different writing styles and all. If you want to give it a go, though, let me know and I'll see if I can get E'ron aged up to where he should be now.
We could work something out about why they drifted apart. People often do, after all, as they grow up from their teens into their 20s. Anyway, just let me know what *you* want to do, ok? I"m good with continuing him on as he was, or with considering him "a stranger with the same name," depending on your preference.

That being said, welcome :) I have a few different personas at DCW (but more at DFW :evil when you're looking to create more)
At DCW I have:

I only used the ages of "active" members, so the number could skew if non-active/lurkers were added, but the youngest age in the club is 30, the oldest, 67, and the average age of the membership at Triad is 40.8.

Average Age = 41

As I said on the other post, E'ron was mine first. I put him up for adoption and Mirren had him for a while before she left the club.
Cosani and Z'ku were in the same weyrling class. There's at least tentative friendship between Cosani and E'ron (and she needs some friends!) and Z'ku is Pierka's weyrmate so that could be interesting. ;) Oh, and they're all in the same Wing!
