Persona Profile: T'bel
Writer: Len (ONPC)
Birthday: m5 d5
Rank: Wingrider, Azure Wing
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Physical Description of Persona:
T'bel would be considered short, standing at only 5'6" but, next to his long time weyrmate's son, who's even smaller, he considers himself quite tall. He's slender but has the muscle of being a dragonrider. His hair is a honey brown and is cut short, to make his life easier. He has large brown eyes, and rather soft facial features, which strays into the pretty territory more than handsome, with regular features and a small mouth. When he's nervous or pensive he tends to nibble on his lower lip. His style of dress is stylish, but not over the top.
Emotional Description of Persona:
At times T'bel could be considered your typical flighty greenrider. At other times he can be quite comforting and protective, particularly if the person in need is a female greenrider. He feels quite close to greenriding girls who came from Holds, despite his outward prejudice against Holder people (which is odd considering he is Hold-bred himself, a minor fact he likes to ignore). He sees himself as a bit of an agony aunt and thinks he's more help than he actually is. Becoming weyrmated a couple of years ago has calmed him somewhat and given him a bit more confidence.
History of Persona:
T'bel was born Tenbel, at a minor Hold that tithed to Dragonsfall Weyr, the middle of 7 children. Both his parents worked the land and raised runner beasts, and his childhood was unremarkable. He remembers it as quite happy time.
When he was just 12 he was Searched and came to Dragonsfall Weyr, where he Impressed green Fanth the first time standing. Unlike a lot Hold boys, he was thrilled to have any dragon, not even thinking about what having a green meant, and his family supported and loved him. He was in for a shock when Fanth Rose for the first time, losing his virginity in such a violent way. She had waited a very long time for a green, but the boy hadn't taken any advice from his Weyrlingmaster about getting experience, being just too immature to take it all in. For a long time after he was scarred from the experience and traumatized every time she Rose. Two turns later, at 17, he finally came to terms with it all, but to this day, is never one to fully lose himself in the Flight.
He first met his future weyrmate when G'waren's blue won Fanth in a Flight. The two struck up a quirky friendship but it took another two turns for the wayward bluerider to settle down and weyrmate to T'bel. That, more than anything, has helped him to blossom and fully enjoy his life in the Weyr. He's a bit of a mother and a big brother rolled into one for his mate's son, G'wen, and the two have a love/hate relationship.
He and Fanth have both been struck by thread twice in their lives, the first one being a minor injury on his shoulder in his very first Fall, the second a wingtip for the green, and the third for both was across his back and her shoulder, taking them out of action for five months, a turn and a half ago.

Description of Dragon:
Fanth is one of the smaller greens at Dragonsfall, coming in at only 20 feet. She's a beautiful jade green, with delicate features and a lithe build. Despite her size, she has a surprising lot of stamina due, no doubt, to her higher than normal intelligence (for a green) and ability to think ahead and spare her energy. She's calm when her rider is flighty and flighty when he is in a rare pensive mood. She's also tends to stick to one dragon, blue Manarth. The two are as close as their lifemates are to one another.
Swift, Bronze Firelizard: aged 4, hatched m12 d14
Only a babe at the moment, Swift (named after T'bel's favorite runner when he was growing up) has yet to be anything other than a bottomless stomach.
